SBIR Continuing Resolution Likely to Pass (Extends SBIR until November)!

We just received word from our friends at the InnovationPAC, that a Continuing Resolution for the SBIR Program in its current form is likely to pass in a vote with the House this week.  This is a huge victory (albeit in the short term), as it will be extending the program for a few more months in it’s current state, and avoid any of the new additions (for the time being), that are being volleyed about in HR1425 from Congress (i.e. Wall Street).

The work is not entirely over though.  This is only a short-term patch to hold us over.  The work that many of us have taken part in by flying into DC to meet with our Representatives, or writing our local Congress and Senate leaders and informing them of how important this program is to the lifeblood of American Innovation is still needed, even more so than ever.

We implore you to get involved!  Take some time to make your voice heard.   Here are some links you can follow to keep up-to-date on the going’s on of the SBIR Program in DC and the across the Nation.
